Water As A Spiritual Element
by Annie B. Bond
Water is the central source of our beings. It is part of every cell and fiber in us; it is our very essence. Could water be the common denominator
that weaves us all (earth, animal, human, and plant) together as one? Is it
the ultimate connector? It's awesome and humbling that water carries so many
entrained messages, especially when we consider that there has been the same
water, and the same amount of water, on the earth for millions of years. What messages are we receiving from our ancestors when we drink? And it is
overwhelming to think that in the past 60 years alone, the human hand has imprinted so much pollution on the water, bringing it out of healthy
balance. It is our spiritual obligation to be water's caretaker and cause it
no further harm.

Your Connection To The Elements
by Avalon De Witt
In ancient times, scientists, philosophers and magi divided matter into
four basic elements: Air, Fire, Water and Earth. It has been said that
these elements are the building blocks of life.
A scientist and philosopher named Empedocles set this foundation for
science in Sicily during the 5th century B.C. Empedocles belonged to the
tradition of "Root Cutters," which means that he was an herbal
magician and healer. He defined these elements, or "roots," as
not only physical substances, but also as "spiritual essences."
He even assigned gods and goddesses to these energies:

Define Your Own
Future ... Shatter The Crystal Ball!
by Edward Toupin
When I decided to look into remote viewing, I had the impression that it
had some bizarre metaphysical and psychic associations. But, in
reality, remote viewing is a natural and 'taught' method of probing remote
locations in the past, present, and future. As I learned and
experimented, one of the important things that I discovered is that you
cannot accurately predict the future of any person or event. Of
course, some would argue this point and I would probably agree that we can
'see' the future. But, what I mean is, the future changes far too
rapidly based on our experiences and directions for anyone to be truly
accurate.

Crystal Clarity:
How To Expose The Hidden Obstacles Lurking In Your Subconscious
by
Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com editor
I had been struggling with an issue for about seven years that
I was beginning to think I might never overcome. So I went to see a
counselor named Dr. Trish Whynot who specializes in personal
transformation, self-healing and self-empowerment. I wrote an article
about Trish a couple years ago and have since gained a deep respect for
her gifted abilities. I’ve recommended her to many friends and
colleagues who have since experienced incredible results from her
services. Hence, I decided to see if she could help me with my
issue.
About a month ago, I had been to see Trish a couple times and
was working on the homework she had given me. At the same time, my wife,
Melissa, was also seeing Trish to work on an issue of her own. Trish is
able to help people by telephone as well as in person, but since we live
fairly close to Trish’s office, Melissa and I like to go to our
appointments in person. Trish has such a powerful energy that Melissa and
I feel it is a healing experience just to be in the same room with her.

Tarot: A Tool For Self-Development
And Personal Guidance
by Alison Day
Men and women have consulted tarot readers for hundreds of years and most
seek out this form of divination for one reason – guidance and
reassurance on major life issues.
On our website, we find that about 90% of our visitors are women, but
there would seem to be an increasing number of men who are also finding
comfort and reassurance from the Tarot. This has certainly been my
experience over the last few years of face to face readings. Click

Confessions Of A Tarot Card
Skeptic
by Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor
I
must confess that I as I sit here and write, I can’t help but to ask
myself, “What has become of my life?” Life used to be so simple and
predictable. I knew what was real and what was fantasy. I knew what to
believe and what not to believe. And I was smart enough not to be fooled
by charlatans and schemers claiming to have abilities of supernatural
design. Of course, they were all phonies in my mind, so it was easy to
protect myself from their frauds.

How
Tarot And Visualization Helped One Woman Achieve Her Dream
by Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor
Cathy Levine, owner of
Circles of Wisdom in Andover, wasn’t always the spiritual-seeking owner
of a metaphysical store; she used to work as an actuary at an insurance
company. Technical finances, numbers and spreadsheets were her thing—not
energy, crystals and aromatherapy. But that began to change the day Cathy
had her first tarot card reading.
“You should read
Marianne Williamson’s book, A Return
To Love,” the tarot reader told Cathy. Not what Cathy had
expected, but she followed the advice. Williamson’s book then sparked
Cathy’s interest in spirituality. It also inspired a deep-seated
interest in reading other
books, mostly spiritual, metaphysical and new age related. She became so
consumed with her interest in books that she kept a spreadsheet of all the
books she wanted to read (you have to keep in mind that she was an actuary
who worked with spreadsheets everyday). As the list grew, Cathy realized
she would love to own a new age bookstore one day.

How
A Palm Reader, An Astrologer And Three Psychic Mediums Lifted The Veil To
A New Discovery
by Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor
I feel so fortunate to be
in a career that exposes me to some of the most gifted, skilled and
extraordinary practitioners and minds in the alternative field. Once
again, I recently had an incredible experience that has taught me an
insightful lesson that I feel compelled to share with you.
If you are new to
OfSpirit.com, you may not be aware that this site originally manifested
from my investigation into spiritual phenomena, specifically psychic
mediumship. That research, which required about three years to complete,
resulted in my second book—a book about my story and conclusions that is
now in the hands of a literary agent. Today, my experiences have moved
beyond mediumship and into other areas such as energy healing, meditation,
palmistry and astrology, to name just a few. This particular story is
about the last two areas mentioned on that list.
