Seven Ways & Seven Days To Renew
Your Life NEW!
by Carole Lynne
To renew and reinvent our lives, WE NEED A PLAN! Here it is: a seven-day
process to work with over and over. This plan incorporates physical,
mental and spiritual work. Use the whole seven-day process, or choose any
one of the days to work with as you create the life you want.
DAY 1: RE-CHARGE A Day of Commitment
Focus on changing your mind-set: This is the day to change the thought
patterns playing in your mind. Get rid of phrases such as "I
can't." "Why does this happen to me?" "Things always
seem to go wrong." "After three bad things happen, life will
change for the better." Insert thoughts such as "I can do
it." "There are creative solutions to any problem."

Premonitions and
Spirituality
by Larry Dossey, M.D.,
Spirituality
involves an awareness of being connected with something greater than the
individual ego or self. This "something greater" has
traditionally been called God, Goddess, Allah, Great Spirit, the Almighty,
the Absolute, and many other names. Some consider it as the Universe, or
as a sense of infinite order and beauty. Many individuals prefer to
attribute no name whatever to it. But whether named or unnamed, the
awareness of a connectedness with something greater than the "I"
has been a source of strength and meaning for individuals throughout human
history.
Individuals
often find that their power of sensing and knowing expands as they mature
spiritually. These expanded capacities often involve the capacity to know
yet-to-be events that lie in the future, as the unbroken stream of
prophets, visionaries, seers, and shamans throughout history attests. A
modern analog of this ancient ability to know the future is premonitions,
sometimes called intuition, gut feelings, or sixth sense.

Addressing Our Economy With Spirit
by
Trish Whynot, D.C.Ed.
The worst thing that could happen to our
economy–and to ourselves—is to allow economics to rule our souls. Joy
feeds our souls and when times are tough or scary, the first menu items to
go are often those that bring us the most joy. Even when these items
don’t cost anything, our tendency is to go into self-deprivation mode.
We tell ourselves that we don’t have time for the things that bring us
joy because we are too busy trying to survive. Our fear says we must
choose between survival and joy. While that may seem the “logical”
solution, starving our souls won’t heal our economy.
We need to ask ourselves what brings us
joy, and to distinguish those things from what merely boosts our egos or
impresses our neighbors. Anything that brings forth joy connects us in
some way with Spirit: it inspires us, expresses us or lifts us up. But
this is an area in which we must practice discernment—to distinguish
between things that genuinely nurture the soul and those that merely act
as a substitute for spiritual enrichment. At the same time, it is
important to realize that what one person uses as a status symbol can be a
genuine source of joy to another. That which feeds soul is fulfilling
while that which feeds ego creates debt.

Visualize
Prosperity
by Shakti Gawain
A very important part of the whole creative visualization process is
developing a sense of prosperity. This means having the understanding, or
consciously taking the point of view, that the universe is abundant, that
life is actually trying to bring us what our hearts and souls truly desire
— spiritually, mentally, emotionally, as well as physically. Almost
everything you truly need or want is here for the asking; you only need to
believe that it is so, truly desire it, and be willing to accept it.

Celebrate Freedom
by Marlene Buffa
Recorded history focuses on government and spans time by ticking the
meter of war. From as early as the Bronze Age, one of the first recorded conflicts arose in Greece, popularly known as the Trojan War. As we study world history, we notice that most wars arose from
either greed or confinement. Man rebels when he seeks to conquer more of what lies outside of himself, and also when what abides within him
seeks liberation. Similarly, our spiritual selves rebel when we perceive limitation imposed on us by others, or deliberate harm
inflicted through violation of boundaries. Our nature, as inhabitants of the earth and spiritual beings, treasures freedom from outside
intruders and also from our self-imposed limitations.

Beyond Self-Image
by Christopher R. Edgar
A few years ago, I was fixated on overcoming what I saw as my “negative self-image.” Basically, the problem was that I wanted to do certain things I thought would be enjoyable and fulfilling, but I was afraid of doing them. I wanted to start my own business, make more of an effort to meet people, take up more “extreme” sports, and so forth, but I would feel anxiety when I’d contemplate doing those things, and would find myself holding back.

___________________ The Voice of Fate vs. the Voice of Destiny
by Robert Ohotto
It’s human instinct to reach for the familiar, but the soul is here for experience, not security. A life without risk, loss, death, and pain is hardly vitalized. The more we resist the call to adventure, the more we fate ourselves to suffering of the worst kind. In such cases, the Universe will often deliver increasingly drastic events until we finally give up the ego’s hold on our soul’s schedule and allow the next chapter of our purpose—our Destiny—to unfold.

Why Do We Feel Sick All the Time:
Metaphysical ‘Cures’ For What Ails Us

Many of us suffer from the “I feel sick syndrome.”
We are not truly “ill,” in the sense that we do not have a significant malfunction of an organ or organ system that can be readily diagnosed by traditional contemporary medical testing. But we certainly experience bouts of discomfort, pain or distress—in other words, we just don’t feel right—we just feel sick!

I'm going to be honest with you. I have issues with this particular topic.
Far too often the concepts of shielding and protection are filled with
misunderstandings and a lot of drama. Rather than create a sense of
security and comfort within Self, despite the appearance of safety, it
tends to reinforce a belief that one is powerless. This in turn reinforces
the fear that shapes our experience.

____________________ The
Perception--Well-being Connection
by Kimmie Smith
Our own perception of the world and those we're personally involved with
stems from our childhood. If you grew up with one or more parent(s)
who displayed constant anxiety, worry, anger, etc., then you have most
likely adopted that same behavior as an adult. Some people eventually
recognize this in themselves and some never do. And even when the
ones that do recognize this in themselves they tend to just accept that
behavior as "who they are." They might try, through various
methods, to rid themselves of this unwanted negative behavior only to wind
up frustrated when something triggers a certain emotion and they find it
hasn't really left. So they give up and just accept that this is who
they are and that change is impossible. Maybe they are still hearing
the message that has been given to them over a lifetime, "Oh, that's
just they way you've always been, that's your personality and you'll never
change." They then decide that they are comfortable this way and
fear any kind of change, even if it would mean a positive change.

Will the World Really End on December 21, 2012?
by Jean-Claude Koven
I was recently asked how I interpreted the Mayan and Hopi predictions that the world, as we know it, will end on the 21st of December 2012. Would there be global war — possibly triggering a nuclear holocaust? Would the planet’s life forms finally succumb to the ecological quagmire that’s been building in our soils, oceans and atmosphere? Would the current steady increase of previously unknown diseases overcome our ability to defend against them? Or will we suddenly move into a new Golden Age in which the lion lies down with the lamb and struggle, pain, and suffering are gone forever?

____________________ Seven Simple Brain
Promoting Nutritional Tips
by Daniel G. Amen, M.D.
Here is the seven step plan to get your diet under control and to use food
as brain medicine.
1. Increase water intake
Given that your brain is about 80% water, the first rule of brain
nutrition is adequate water to hydrate your brain. Even slight dehydration
can raise stress hormones which can damage your brain over time. Drink at
least 84 ounces of water a day. It is best to have your liquids unpolluted
with artificial sweeteners, sugar, caffeine, or alcohol. You can use
herbal, non-caffeinated tea bags, such as raspberry or strawberry
flavored, and make unsweetened iced tea. Green tea is also good for brain
function as it contains chemicals that enhance mental relaxation and
alertness.

been living until now are molded according to rules and values that are not our own. Most of humanity is stuck in someone else's
discarded chewing gum and has yet to break free.

____________________ Effectively Working with Affirmations
by Katheryn Hoban
In my years of teaching and counseling I have come to the conclusion that many people are unsure of what affirmations are, how to use them, what great tools they can be, or what good benefits can be manifested by working with affirmations in both children and adults. In the simplest form an affirmation is a statement of a positive effect, result, or of a future event that you would like to achieve. Usually an affirmation is stated in the present moment and in positive verbiage and wordage. For an example “ I can do this” as opposed to “I’d like to do this” or “I’m going to do this.” The sentence “ I can do this” is set in the present moment and it implies confidence in one’s ability to accomplish the task and an immediacy to take action. The statement “ I’d like to do this.” Implies that it is not quite possible but you are yearning to do it but (something out of your control) is preventing that.
“I’m going to do this” implies sometime in the future when all the conditions are right. In that case we can make an assumption that the conditions will never be right.

The 5 Hindrances Of The Mind: Are They Blocking Your Self-Esteem?
by Deborah Shipley
The issue of self-esteem is perhaps one of the greatest determinates in creating a life of freedom and abundance, or feeling inhibited and “just getting by“. Self-esteem is defined as “a feeling of pride in oneself“. It is how you feel in relation to yourself rather than how others see you. It’s between you and, well… you. Therefore, it’s not necessary to be so concerned about what others think to determine your level of self -esteem, as the definition does not include any “others“, just you. So where can you help yourself to better understand you? There are so many aspects of you but one that is of great importance is that of your mind.

____________________ Accessing Your Higher Mind
by John Holland
The more we stay connected to our higher mind - which we also call the
universe, the source, or spirit - the more we strengthen and build that
crucial bridge between ourselves and our higher consciousness. While we're
all born connected to this divine awareness, we have a tendency to pull
away from what was once natural. It's reasonable to assume that when we
become disconnected from our higher mind, the source that once nourished
us will be replaced with another source or substitute. In other words, the
connection could be with food, alcohol, nicotine, co-dependency to someone
or even work - hence the term workaholic. Many of us spend our lives
trying to fill that void which was created when the link was broken.

Why would we want to cultivate mindfulness in the first place? And why use particular methods and techniques, if they are all in the service of not getting anywhere anyway, and when, moreover, I've just finished saying that methods and techniques are not the whole of it anyway?

____________________ Break Through the Barrier
Between You and True Peace

If we wish to find peace we must understand something of its life. Here
are a few such facts: Peace is the natural radiation of a living Now; it
is one with that Light whose life is the eternal present itself, even as
the emanations of light and warmth are one with the sun from which they
radiate. If our intuition can perceive that the above ideas are based in
truth, then we should be naturally moved to ask the following
question: If this peace we long for is inherent in this perfectly present
moment we call the "Now," what is it that keeps us from knowing
the fulfillment of its promise within us? Let's look.

little better about yourself by becoming noble. And if you forgive what

whoever hurt you will eventually feel guilty about what they did, and come
begging for your forgiveness. Then you get to decide whether they deserve

Self hypnosis is usually thought of as a person listening to an audio
tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media, intended to induce a willingness
to absorb suggestions centered around a specific topic such as weight
loss, stop smoking, etc. Unfortunately, this kind of hypnosis is generally
prepared by someone who has never met the person being hypnotized, often
presenting unwanted, even unpleasant imagery and suggestions. For example,
if you sunburn easily, that last thing you want to hear about is a slow
walk on a sunny beach. In this case, the "self" in self hypnosis
simply means that you listen to it by yourself!

A Precision-Tuned Body
by Pat Burke
We often use the term stress to refer to
the negative effects of external factors such as noise, crowding,
performance expectations and deadlines. Most people experience stress as
something that happens to them. More accurately, stress itself is neutral,
referring to pressures on an organism or system. Health, adaptation and
evolution can be desirable outcomes when an organism is forced to respond
to a large amount and intensity of stimulation or change. An experience
that creates excitement and exhilaration in one person can cause deep
anxiety and debilitating stress for another. Anytime an organism is
overloaded, stress can occur, possibly followed by disease.

The "CSFT" Vitalistic Healing

The principle of vitalism is based on the

Its basic assumption is that there is an intelligent force, which creates

Getting

The irony is not lost on me. When I got the phone call from my
sister-in-law Laurie that my brother David had been in a bad car accident,
I was just getting ready for an Alexander Technique lesson with my

start of a four-day weekend. I’m sure I was not an apt pupil at that
lesson, but, on my way out, Jamee offered to see David as soon as he was

The
Biology of Success
by Robert Arnot, M.D.
Mental energy is the basic foundation of
success. Look at corporate titans such as Michael Eisner, Martha Stewart,
and Jack Welch, or world leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Tony Blair, and
Margaret Thatcher, or super moms from Maria Von Trapp to Barbara Bush.
High mental energy is what they all have or had in common. Mental energy
is the brain's power supply -- the more power you have, the longer and
harder you can work. Compare your work output the morning after taking a
red-eye to that after a refreshing night's sleep. It's brain energy that
makes the difference. Click

Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection
by John E. Sarno
I have never seen a patient with pain in
the neck, shoulders, back or buttocks who didn't believe that the pain was
due to an injury, a "hurt" brought on by some physical activity.
"I hurt myself while running (playing basketball, tennis,
bowling)." "The pain started after I lifted my little girl"
or "when I tried to open a stuck window." "Ten years ago I
was involved in a hit-from-behind auto accident and I have had recurrent

by Linda Richardson, Nurse / Herbalist
The Biofeedback MRM, an FDA accepted revolutionary
device, has been developed to monitor your body systems. It works on the
same principals as an EKG (which measures heart frequency data) where an
individual is hooked up to electrodes to read frequencies of the body. It
then prints these frequencies out on a monitor enabling the doctor to
diagnose what is going on with that part of the body.

Many times I have been at a social gathering

anything else? I’d go camping for the weekend and just as I would settle

again! Itchy red welts would begin to appear that lasted for days; sometimes
weeks. The peaceful sunset would be lost in a flurry of slaps and claps.

from being one of the most celebrated figures of Paris to being an

decreed his animal magnetism theory to be bogus. He died poor and ruined.

to make a choice: will you use your thinking to help yourself to the
happy, fulfilling life you wish for, or will you allow the often
haphazard, random ideas we gather over time to non-consciously run your
life for you? What you think leads directly to feelings and actions. Think
in one direction, you will feel and act accordingly. Think differently,
your feelings and actions will be different. Those thoughts are powerful,
aren't they? The only trouble is, ideas can become so ingrained that we
don't even need to be aware for them to exert instant control over us. Click
