Sometimes
The Landscaper Is Really An Angel
by Mary M. Wellman, Ph.D.
An extraordinary thing has happened a couple weeks ago , during the Will to
Harmonize week. This is the Divine Will that brings beauty, color, flowers
into our lives. We have new landscapers, and the crew was here for three
days seeding, transplanting, and putting in a new perennial bed. I have
never looked forward to people being on the property. I love my solitude
and peace and quiet. So I resigned myself to this apparent intrusion.
The co-owner, (I will call him John, since
I have not been able to discuss this story with him) who is the crew
chief, is a man I had not met before. Very tall, with long (halfway down
his back) straight brown hair, a very kind, beautiful face, and a presence
I can't explain, except that I could feel the Christ heart energy. He was
very good with the crew, working alongside them shoveling, lifting and
carrying—and
very patient, peaceful and joyful.
There are three parts to this story. First
of all, I am taking a pottery class at the Worcester Craft Center. In my
hand-building pottery class last week, the instructor began to teach us
about double-walled construction. I had never heard that term before, but
when she demonstrated it, I realized I had created such a piece two
years ago when I was having a four-month period of eyelid surgeries. The
piece was called "Weeping Eye", but around the outside wall
where the eyelashes were, I had carved a quote from Camus, "In
the midst of winter, I found within me an invincible summer."
After it was finished, my instructor at that time, Scott, photographed it for the
student section of his portfolio, and then I took it home and buried it in
the earth on the property to purify it.
A few weeks ago, I had my two-year check-up
with each of the two surgeons who had done the four surgeries, and they
both pronounced me completely well and healed. I was so happy! I began to
think about the Weeping Eye piece, because I wanted to show it to my
current instructor, who was teaching us double-walled construction. But I
had no idea where on the property I had buried it, and I wasn't going to
start digging randomly, so I just surrendered it to the Universe. Lo and
behold, the second day John and the crew were working, they dug it up! I
didn't realize it until the next morning when I was walking around the
yard and found it upside down on the edge of the woods! I brought it
inside, scrubbed the dirt out of it, and took it in to my instructor. I
was telling this story to an old friend yesterday, and he said I should
display it now as a sign that I am completely healed. I have decided to
rename it "Eye Triumphant".
The second part of the story occurred on
the last day the landscapers were here. A new perennial bed was being
planned. John had the plants all lined up, and was trying to visualize
where they should go. I decided to go out and thank him for the beautiful
job on the property, since I felt like I had not exactly been the Welcome
Wagon Lady during the week. I started to tell him how the grounds had been
transformed with beauty, color, order and artistry (influence of the
Divine Will to Harmonize), and how I didn't want to take him and the crew
for granted. He looked so grateful I gave him a hug. I could feel an
incredible peace and energy between our heart chakras when I did.
Then I went off to my pottery class, and
when I got home at 10:30 pm, it was too dark to go out and look at the
finished bed. When I got up the next morning, I sleepily went out to water
the new plants with the hose. During that time, I was transmitting Divine
Will to the plants.
When I was a little girl, I would swing in
my hammock in the back yard, and dream about the house and garden I would
have when I grew up. Each time I imagined this, I always saw the same
garden. Now, as I was standing there watering, I suddenly realized
that this was the garden I had always envisioned as a little girl,
dreaming that I would have a garden like this when I grew up! I stood
there gazing upon the dream come true with my mouth open and my eyes wide
with amazement! How could this have happened? Then I realized I had
exchanged energy with John when I hugged him, and then he designed and
planted this garden while I was in clay class!
The story gets even more interesting. Four
days later, I sat down to do the Divine Will to Act meditation tape
to prepare me for teaching it on Tuesday night. In the middle of the
meditation, I saw John standing in the garden and I gasped, because he was
one of the Great Angels, with big wings behind him, and there were
thousands of little angels or nature spirits flying around that he was
directing to help the plants and bushes and trees!
I've related this story to several people,
including the Tuesday night Divine Will class, and several people have
said they feel there is some higher purpose to this meeting. I wonder, too,
how this happened to be the landscaping company that came to us, since
they are not a local company. God's Will works in strange ways. I wait to
see what will happen next.
