Confessions Of
A Tarot Card Skeptic
by Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor
I
must confess that I as I sit here and write, I can’t help but to
ask myself, “What has become of my life?” Life used to be so
simple and predictable. I knew what was real and what was fantasy. I
knew what to believe and what not to believe. And I was smart enough
not to be fooled by charlatans and schemers claiming to have
abilities of supernatural design. Of course, they were all phonies
in my mind, so it was easy to protect myself from their frauds.
Oh how I miss those days when I had
all the answers. My ignorance was truly bliss. For today I am
confronted with a knowing that is not fit for a man who grew up on
large doses of Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood and Sly Stalone.
Revenge was the code back then, not love and forgiveness. An eye for
an eye and every man for himself was the macho mentality, not
oneness and peace and helping your neighbor. Life used to be so much
easier to categorize when everything was either black or white. But
things aren’t so simple today. There are gray areas of which I
wasn’t aware.

The Power Of Reiki
by Donna Patrican
Reiki is a Japanese word which loosely
translates to mean the transfer of universal energy. This transfer can be
to another person, animal, plant, situation or even to oneself.
Traditional Reiki healing originated in Japan approximately two centuries
ago, after Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered the ancient formulas in Buddhist
Sanskrit scriptures for this hands-on healing art. Eventually, this
knowledge reached the U.S. from Hawaii via Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who had
learned the system from Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, who directly received the
information from Dr. Usui himself. Mrs. Takata initiated twenty-two
original Reiki Masters before her death in 1980. Today there are hundreds
of these traditional Reiki Masters, and also thousands of non-traditional
Reiki Masters, while hundreds of thousands of people practice Reiki
throughout the world.

These Uncertain Times
by Thom Rutledge
In no uncertain terms: life is uncertain.
Haven't you noticed? Just when it all seems to be settling in around us,
just when we begin to trust the constancy, the predictability of our day
to day lives, WHAM! Something new, and possibly not so improved puts its
foot on the edge of our boat, and rocks it. And still, so many of us live
with our don't-rock-the-boat philosophy, darting from hiding place to
hiding place in hopes that finally we will be able to avoid the dreaded
nature of life: uncertainty.

Tachyon Energy: A New
Paradigm in Science and Health
by Robert Clarence Ziegler
First, the science. All matter, from this
page, to the human heart, to the cosmos and beyond, is made of energy and
is part of an "Energetic Continuum", a term used to describe the
flow of energies as they move down from 'THE SOURCE'. This 'stepping down'
process creates the third dimensional world in which we live.

Recommended Book |
The
Tunnel And The Light
is a collection of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross’s lectures on living and
dying. I read this book as part of my research for my next book on
life, death and life-after-death. The author is the foremost
authority on the subject of dying, beginning with her first book, On
Death And Dying, which took the world by storm more than
thirty years ago.
I
learned more from this collection of lectures—inciting both tears
and laughter throughout my reading—than I learned in reading
several other books on the subject. It is my conviction that we have
much to gain about life when we study death, and that is never more
true than in this compassionate and wisdom-filled collection of
speeches.
Whether you want to learn how to deal
with children in the face of a family member’s death (or a
child’s own dying experience), better understand your own
mortality and unavoidable terminal ending, or gain insight into
life-after-death based on Dr. Kubler-Ross’s knowledge of
near-death experiences and her own mystical encounters, then this is
the book for you. In the end, you won’t just be more comfortable
with the subject of death, but you will be more knowledgeable about
life as well. Bob Olson, OfSpirit.com Editor
