A website host or web hosting service is a company that allows you to actually put your website from your computer up onto the Internet (well, that's a layman's definition). And it isn't easy to find one that is reliable, helpful and connected to a real person these days. So now that I've found a website hosting service that is all those things--reliable, helpful and connected to a real person--and I have used this service for a number of years, I feel confident recommending it to you.

I've had so many people ask me who I recommend for web hosting that I thought I'd finally make it easy and place my recommendation where people can easily retrieve it--on OfSpirit.com. But I'll be perfectly frank and tell you that I have waited years before publishing this recommendation because I have dealt with some poor web hosting services in the past, so I wanted to be absolutely sure that this web host was impeccable. Well, this service is impeccable, so here I am writing this. The company's name is AfterFive By Design, and the business owner is Todd Morrissette. And what's really cool is that Todd, the owner, is the guy you will be dealing with if you decide to host your website with his hosting company.

I first discovered Todd's old-fashioned "do whatever it takes to make the customer happy" service back in 2001 when he worked with another hosting company. That other company didn't turn out so great but I loved the service I got from Todd. So when Todd left that web hosting company to start his own business, he had already proven himself to me several times over.

To begin, Todd Morrissette has always been very generous with his time and advice. He understands that we aren't all computer or Internet savvy, and he has never made me feel like a dumb dumb while trying to explain complicated technical stuff to me. He's also been a lifesaver at times when I was trying to do something new but didn't know how to do it. And whenever I've had an urgent problem to solve (always my fault), he has never failed to call me back right away and help me solve my problem. In fact, all his customers have access to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a week--and it's usually Todd, himself, who answers the calls.

So, if what you want is a web hosting company that you can actually call on the phone, and a service that has proven to be up-and-running 99.99% of the time (I actually have a separate service that keeps track of my websites' uptime and downtime), and a business that is large enough to be reliable but small enough so that you, just one customer, will still matter, then you're probably going to like AfterFive By Design and its owner, Todd Morrissette.

Just in case you were wondering, I'm not getting anything for writing this and Todd is not a close friend of mine who I'm trying to help out (I've never even met him in person).
