Since
first writing about mediumship in 1999, I have had countless emails from
people telling me that they are not interested in communicating with
deceased relatives in spirit, but rather, seek the guidance and insight of
a psychic. Until now, I have not had anyone to recommend to these people.
But finally, after six years testing gifted practitioners from around the
world, I have discovered someone who lives up to my high standards of
ability, integrity and responsibility. In this article, I will reveal this
person’s name and tell you about my own personal reading with her.
MY
BACKGROUND
If
you are new to OfSpirit.com Magazine, BestPsychicMediums.com or
GriefAndBelief.com, than you might not know who I am or what my background
is in reference to psychic mediums. You might already know that I am the
founder and editor of OfSpirit.com Magazine, but you probably do not
know that I have also researched spirit communication, near-death
experience, after-death communication and spiritual regression for
approximately six years. And I have been writing about my best experiences
with practitioners in these fields to help guide you toward
“genuine and legitimate” practitioners, and away
from phonies, frauds and scam artists.
I
have received hundreds, if not thousands, of “Thank you” emails from
people around the world who have tested these practitioners for themselves
and have had life-changing experiences. Now I’d like to tell you about
my latest experience with a psychic named Janet Moore.
NOT
A BIG FAN OF PSYCHIC PREDICTIONS
I
was led to Janet by another practitioner whom I trust and respect. His
recommendation of her was so high that I just had to see what all the fuss
was about. But I had to overcome some pretty strong feelings of skepticism
when it comes to psychics because it is so difficult, if not impossible,
to prove their messages, especially if these messages are predictions of
the future.
The
truth is that I have never really liked the idea of psychics giving
predictions. I’ve had concerns about the power of expectation in
relation to psychic readings. In other words, I worry about people who
give so much weight to a psychic’s predictions that they, consequently,
turn the information they get in the reading into reality—even if they
do it subconsciously. So psychic Janet Moore had her work cut out for her
when she gave me a test reading.
It
was refreshing that Janet was different than all the psychics I’d
experienced in the past. She was quite humble and had a great sense of
humor. Never did I get the impression that Janet felt the information she
presented was set in stone. She actually explained that the energy she
reads shows the direction we are heading at that point in time, but that
we all have the freewill to make changes in our life that may change the
course of her predictions, which is why a psychic reading can be helpful.
Otherwise, if the information Janet presented in her readings were
unchangeable, what would be the point?
Still,
some of the information Janet may present could be for someone else,
thereby requiring them to make changes. Or it could relate to something that is
currently happening, which means that it might be too late to make a
change. But overall the information Janet presents is what her client’s
energy is showing in reference to that very moment in time, so this is why
she is able to offer guidance and insight that is both practical and
helpful.
MY
PERSONAL READING
Being
both a psychic and a medium, Janet is able to get messages from our loved
ones in spirit along with the psychic messages, and she got a few messages
for me in this way. So after first telling me that I “am not known for
my patience,” which is quite true, she explained that it was my Master
Guide—a person in spirit who reminded her of the angel, Clarence, on the
movie It’s A Wonderful Life—who
was giving her the first messages she had for me.
Since
descriptions about spirit guides cannot be corroborated the same way
descriptions about a deceased loved one can, I usually would not see
Janet’s message about Clarence as a high quality hit. But when she went
on to describe his appearance, Janet’s description of my Master Guide
was almost exactly the same as that which another medium had given me a
year prior. And this other medium is someone I regard highly and is on my
favorites list. So I was impressed that the two descriptions of my Master
Guide, by two different psychic mediums, matched almost perfectly. Good
job, Janet. Still, I waited for more.
After
getting some messages about a past life I shared with Clarence, about
someone named Caroline who is a bright light around me (my sister-in-law
is named Caroline and I would consider her a bright light), and about two
children in spirit standing on either side of me (I have been told by
other mediums that the two brothers of mine who died around birth are
always around me), Janet then gave me an extraordinary prediction.
Janet
said that a close friend who is probably a relative is going to be getting
a divorce. She said that I would be saddened by the breakup, but that it
was meant to be and the two are supposed to move on. I didn’t know who
she was talking about at the time, so I didn’t pay much attention to the
message. The next morning, a good friend of mine, who is also a relative,
called to tell me that he and his wife might be headed for a divorce. He
was quite upset and came to spend the day with my wife, Melissa, and me. I
was shocked by both the news and Janet’s accuracy.
Then
Janet gave me to two messages that she thought were for me, but I knew
that they were both for my wife. The first was the message that the
shoulder pain I was having would be okay as long as it was massaged. The
second was the message that someone named Dottie or Dorothy, who was in
spirit, was putting a pillow under my head to help me sleep.
Interestingly,
my wife, Melissa, had been suffering all week with both shoulder pain and
an inability to sleep. And she had a friend from work named Dottie, formal
name Dorothy, who had crossed over to the other side a few years prior.
They had grown quite close as friends, so it would not be surprising that
Dottie would come to the reading and be helping Melissa with her problems.
I
was not displeased by Janet’s mistake that the message was for me rather
than Melissa for two key reasons. One, every psychic medium I have ever
had a reading with has made the same mistake; that is, given me messages
that they thought were for me but were actually for Melissa. Melissa and I
are such close energies, having been together since we were young
teenagers, that it is surprising to me that the mistake doesn’t happen
more often.
And,
two, people need to think for themselves during a reading and understand
that messages are rarely wrong, they are more often just misinterpreted.
So by expecting misinterpretations along the way, you’ll get more out of
your reading if you allow yourself to help with the interpretations rather
than accept every message verbatim. Knowing this after having well-over
one hundred readings from psychic mediums around the world, Janet’s
misinterpretation of who the message was for did not overshadow the fact
that these messages were both current (not something she could have read
about) and accurate (she identified both the shoulder pain and the
sleeping difficulties accurately).
So
far, Janet’s reading was already above average. She had given me
messages that she could not have learned about me over the Internet or in
my books—even my old friends could not have described Clarence, told me
about the pending divorce or come up with Melissa’s ailments and
Dottie’s name. Nevertheless, since I only recommend and write about
extraordinary practitioners, I waited for even more.
Janet
proceeded to give me a few more accurate messages. I won’t get into the
details, but these were messages about a trip I’d be taking in January
(which hasn’t been booked but I have been considering as a possible
option), some major changes in my home (we recently got new kitchen and
living room furniture and carpets), and even a minor physical problem that
I was having, which Janet described with perfect accuracy and told me it
would be an easy problem to heal.
Janet
then warned me that I was overbooking the month of December and that I
will need to clear some time there. Low and behold, she was right again. I
was taking on too much responsibility for that month, and this reading
allowed me to reschedule some plans in order to avoid a lot of stress
during the holiday season. For this I was grateful.
Janet
then asked me if I had been writing. I said yes, since I have been
ghostwriting books for other people. But she said, “No, the message
I’m getting is that you need to be writing something for you.” This,
too, was true. In fact, I had recently begun to write a new book for
myself, which nobody but my wife, Melissa, knew about.
Janet
was then getting the message “melancholy,” but wasn’t sure how to
interpret it. I, however, understood the meaning. Melancholy is what
people used to call depression many years ago. And the book I plan to
write for myself is actually my follow-up to a book I had published in
1999 about depression. Before I explained this to Janet, she said she saw
an opportunity coming up in January or February in relation to the
“melancholy” message. This would make sense since this is about when I
would complete the writing of the book and be ready to sell it to a
publisher. While I don’t know if any of this will come true, the
messages at least made sense.
The
next few messages were impossible to verify since they were things that
would take place in the future. Janet explained that I would be doing
something to help children in the future, would be receiving some sort of
recognition by my peers in late winter (around March), might be traveling
to a place that would bring back memories of my youth, and would have my
most successful and fulfilling year regarding work in 2006. She also said
that I would be moving to a second home sometime next year.
This
last message was interesting because Janet described the home my wife and
I would be moving into someday, and her description fit the vision of our
dream house. When giving the description, Janet couldn’t understand why
the living room was in the back of the house, but I did understand. It was
because my dream home is on the ocean, so the living room faces the ocean
view in the back of the house rather than the street in the front of the
house. Without telling Janet anything about my dream home, she described
the large windows allowing lots of light and even that it was by water.
While the future prediction that I would be moving was unverifiable, I was
at least impressed that she was able to get the description correct, if I
ever were to move again.
As
I said, Janet does get messages from spirit, so along with my spirit
guide, Clarence, she also got “a tall thin woman, about five-feet
ten-inches in height, with light blonde hair, who was in some kind of
accident that injured her entire body.” This sounded like my aunt who
died in a plane crash. She has also come to me in other readings I have
had with gifted mediums. The physical description was accurate, as was the
cause of her passing.
In
addition to describing my aunt’s presence, Janet also conveyed some
messages from her. The message that stood out most was that I “needed to
lighten up, not work so hard and start having more fun in my life.” Once
again, this is a message that my aunt and other loved ones in spirit have
given me in past readings. I’m constantly reminded by those on the other
side that I work too hard and don’t take enough time for enjoyment.
While
there were several other messages in my reading with Janet, mostly
predictions whose accuracy I can’t verify at this time, I’m only going
to cover two more that I found most interesting. The first was that there
is a Sagittarius woman in my life who wants to get away because there is a
cold energy around her. I suspect that this is my wife, a Sagittarius, who
actually does want to take a vacation to get away from the New England
cold this winter. We haven’t gone away during the winter months for over
a decade, so I already knew that Melissa was itching to get away this
year. Janet’s message was a good reminder that I’d better not be a
total workaholic this winter or the cold I’d be feeling might be from my
wife, not the weather.
The
final message of my reading was that Janet saw a possible traffic
violation from a police officer within the next two weeks. She said this
was not a speeding violation, but rather, a ticket for turning around in a
location where it was not permitted. Since my impatience does sometimes
tempt me to make illegal turns in this way, the message was not out of
character for me. Janet said that this is one of those predictions that I
could avoid if I simply abided by the law for the next couple of weeks. As
an aside, I have had two instances where I was tempted to make such turns,
but thought of the reading and avoided the temptation—and, probably, a
ticket. No big evidence here, but the message did fit the person to whom
it was directed.
SUMMING
UP
Getting
a reading with Janet Moore is like sitting down with an old friend and
having some giggles while learning about your self, your health issues,
your personal issues and your future. We laughed a lot, yet Janet also
knew when to act with compassion and understanding when presenting
information about important and significant matters.
Janet
is a big ball of love. If you are looking for a psychic with whom you’ll
feel comfortable and not judged, she may be the perfect person for you.
She is not in your face, but rather, gentle with her messages. Still, she
stands by her convictions and takes her gift and work seriously. She
won’t give you a message just to boost your ego, and definitely won’t
change her message just because you don’t agree with it. Yet, if she is
having difficulty interpreting the message, she’ll just tell you what
she’s getting and let you figure it out—like she did with my
“melancholy” message.
In
my perspective, Janet’s uniqueness is that she tells all her clients who
their Master Guide is so that you can become familiar, and hopefully more
connected, with this main spirit guide. She also has the gifted ability to
go into the Akashic Records to learn about your life path and purpose, and
answer any questions you have in this area of your life. And, finally, I
enjoyed that Janet uses both her intuitive abilities first and then pulls
out her tarot cards for a well-rounded and thorough reading experience.
This way, if the answers to your questions are immediately coming to you,
she has a tool that will help to answer your questions.
On
the whole, I learned a boatload about my career, both current and future,
and scatterings about my relationships, health and life path. I learned
about places where I’d be traveling and places where I’d be living
someday. Janet started with my current life, moved on to messages
regarding the next few months, then covered things that would be occurring
within six to eight months, and finally told me what to expect in the
coming years. As if all this weren’t enough, she also gave me messages
from deceased loved ones, too.
I’ve
already confessed that I’ve never been a big fan of psychics, and it’s
not because I haven’t had enough psychic readings—I’ve had plenty.
Part of the problem is that most psychics convey messages that simply
can’t be verified. And while I’ve never been interested in getting
messages that can’t be proven, I know that there is an entire segment of
society that IS interested in psychic predictions. But before I could ever
add a psychic to my list, I needed to get some level of evidence that the
psychic is legitimate and highly gifted. Janet Moore provided me with that
evidence.
With
the overwhelming success of my reading with Janet, in addition to my
interview with her, background check and personal recommendation from one
of the existing mediums on my list, I am pleased and honored to add Janet
Moore to my carefully tested and screened list of Best Psychic Mediums.
